An Amazing Sharing Experience – Part 2

Early last Year, I set a goal to give back, in sharing my experience & expertise in Branding to the public.

Fast forward 12 months later. The goal was a reality. Thanks to the invitation of Dasein Academy of Art. I was one of the speakers for the Dasein Academy of Art 2012.

And what a great honour to be among the speakers, people with such great repertoire around the world including Mr Hong Lam (HK); Eric Chen (Taiwan) and DJ Jack Lim (Malaysia).

The talk has a clear mission – to inpsire young creative minds to embrace their own ability, knowledge, strength, style, and to use these powerful tools to create the most powerful brand, called YOU®.

To be yourself. To have a clear distinctiveness among your peers.
And the mission was accomplished. Feedback was very overwhelming.

A special thanks to Dasein again, and to Shan Li expecially. Special thanks to the audience's participation. And most importantly, special thanks to my better half, Jane who came in at the perfect timing with the perfect support. I can't be more grateful to have you, Jane.

Now I'm ready to give more, to pursue the next challenge Jane & I set a side – a major seminar with an audience of 200 people come 2013.

'Let Your Brand do the TALKING" Workshop @Dasein

An Amazing Sharing Experience – Part 1

But it didn't start off too well. 

2pm. Sat 24 Mar. 

Officially 24 hours before the talk. It felt terrible.
Confidence level was LOW. Energy level LOW.
 

Headache level HIGH. Pressure HIGH.
Outdoor & indoor temperature HIGH.
There's plenty to look at on my talk's content.
Plenty of other things to prepare, but very little time.

6pm. Sat 24 Mar. 20 hours to go.

Took a long nap. Didn't help much

Took some advice. Went out to chill.

Dived into the pool for some relief.

8pm. Sat 24 Mar. 18 hours to go.

The swim did the trick.
Mind was clear. Tummy was empty though.

Had a good meal, had honey lemon.
Something was still missing.

12am. Sat 24 Mar. 14 hours to go.

Rescuer, Jane finally came.
Final rehearsal took place.

With her experience in Toastmasters, we corrected the opening, some gestures, plenty of vocal variety improvement, the content, and most important of all, adding calmness into me.

2am. Sat 24 Mar. 12 hours to go.

Confidence restored. Just some final tweaking & preparation of the feedback form.
And we shall call it a day.
Energy level HIGH.

Gratitude level was at SKY HIGH too.

1pm. Sun 25 Mar. 1 hour to go.

Arrived at the venue (with another fan, Irene), Dasein Academy of Art.

2.30pm. Sun 25 Mar. Here we go. 

Great friends Raymond & Angel popped up too. Let's get started!

3.30pm. Sun 25 Mar. Workshop's over!

A Fun Day with Tiffany & Teresa

Tiffany + Teresa + Jane + Ian = Fun, Fun, Fun!

It started around 5pm, and lasted till 9pm+.

An eventful day of fish watching > swimming > running & playing at the playground > movie > dinner. Non-stop fun and frankly, very physically challenging.

But still, a memorable day and I'm very happy to have more of these =)
